The Fifty Bookish Questions Book Tag

Hello my bookish lovelies! As I am still in the process of reading not one but two books I hope to do a review for, I decided that I should do something for you guys to get to know me better. Today, I am doing The Fifty Bookish Questions Book Tag! Since this will be quite lengthy, I’ll try to keep it short, sweet, and to the point. Here we go everybody!

1. What was the last book you read?

This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab (Check out my review!)

2. Was it a good one?

I’m still feeling overly-emotional about it… It was so good!

3. What made it good?

The characters, story line, the way she depicted the characters and the places they lived and visited… It was just truly breathtaking.

4. Would you recommend it to other people?

Absolutely! Done it quite a few times already to be honest.

5. How often do you read?

I tried to read frequently but being a mom, working full time, plus taking care of things around the house, it tends to make it hard to read.

6. Do you like to read?

Of course I do!

7. What was the last bad book you read?

If I had to choose a “bad book”, I guess I would have to say Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber.

8. What made you dislike it?

You don’t get to truly know the characters and about how their relationship grew, you were just thrown into it and expected it to be romantic all because she was a teenager and he was a vampire… Plus the ending wasn’t that great either, but that’s for a whole different time.

9. Do you wish to be a writer?

Absolutely! But it’s just coming up with something to write about and if anyone is like me, I tend to lose track and stop and not go back to what I was doing. It’s a bad habit I know…

10. Has any book ever influenced you greatly?

Books have definitely influenced me overtime and I can truly say they have made me a better person. *Cough, Cough* Harry Potter.

Quite a while. But like I’ve said before, being a mom, working full-time, etc, tends to make it difficult to make time to read but I promise that I’ll be better at updating you guys just so you all know that I haven’t given up on a book, I am just taking a bit of time to get through it.

26. Do you like when books become movies?

I consider all books “classics” due to the idea that they will get old and to us, they will forever stay in our hearts.

49. Which books do you think should be taught in every school?

Personally I didn’t do well with the pressure of being forced to read a book (as to why I had to have tutoring for years.) I think reading comes naturally to some and should make you happy.

50. Which books should be banned from all schools?

I don’t believe you should ban a book from school. In order for people to learn and thrive and become open-minded, they shouldn’t have something taken away due to rules.
